Allegra and Back Pain
Start
If Allegra is causing back pain, consider the following remedies:
Medications
Applying heat or cold to the painful area.
Medications
Patients who take Allegra and experience back pain often benefit from using pain relief medicines, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol®), aspirin, or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Motrin® or Advil®).
Heat/Cold
Moist heat, such as a warm bath or shower, or dry heat, such as a heating pad, placed on the painful area of the back for about 15 minutes may relieve back pain. In some cases, cold packs (a bag of ice or frozen vegetables wrapped in a towel) can relieve pain or numb the sore area. If you have poor circulation, do not use cold packs. Water therapy in a heated pool or whirlpool may also relieve back pain and stiffness.
Final Thoughts on Allegra and Back Pain
If you experience back pain while taking Allegra and the suggestions above do not provide relief, talk with your healthcare provider. There are other treatment options that he or she may be able to recommend. Also, depending on how severe your back pain is, he or she may also recommend that you adjust your Allegra dosage or try another medicine.
